Spengler-Holtex Testofront Liquid Crystal Forehead Strip Thermometer is device with crystal liquids, easy to use, unbreakable, safe and reusable.
It alerts the user to a feverish state and allows temperature variations to be followed with an accuracy of ± 0.3°C. It is particularly useful for the use on sleeping child.
Liquid crystal have the property to change of colour depending of the temperature, they can gradually pass from blue to green then to brown. The frond liquid crystal temperature indicator gives acceptable approximations of the internal temperature: the frontal temperature is, on average, 2,5°C lower than the internal temperature.

Normal internal temperature varies from person to person. It is therefore advisable to take the temperature outside periods of illness and to note it as a reference value in order to compare the values ??obtained.
- The forehead must be absolutely dry (remove any traces of perspiration). Hold the forehead temperature gauge firmly by both ends and apply it to the forehead just above the eyebrows. Hold it in place until the color change stabilizes (minimum application time 15 seconds).
- Read the temperature when the frontal temperature indicator is still on the forehead. If you are the user, use a mirror.
- The green color indicates the exact frontal temperature value read by the device. If 2 green bars are displayed side by side, take the median value into account.
If the forehead indicator shows fever, check with a standard medical thermometer before seeking medical attention.
