Description

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M 40ml is a triple-correction anti-imperfection treatment recommended for severe and recurring blemishes, blackheads and post-acne marks.
Its formula acts against the predominant bacteria at the root of acne:

  • helps soothe and reduce blemishes
  • moisturizes the skin,
  • helps prevent the appearance of red and brown marks,
  • promotes skin regeneration,
  • it helps restore the skin's balance over the long term.

Anti-relapse, it maintains the benefits of anti-acne treatment, even 3 months after discontinuation.

Its moisturizing, mattifying gel-cream texture is an excellent make-up base.
Non-greasy finish. Non-comedogenic.

Tested on acne-prone skin, even on severe blemishes.

Directions for use

Apply morning and/or evening to cleansed face.
Avoid the eye contour area.

Use alone or in conjunction with anti-acne medication.

When I began using this product I used this with Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser. the first few days my skin had my usual amount of acne and the product stung a bit so I had to ease into it becoming apart of my daily routine. Then the following couple of weeks my skin was awful. I did my research before hand and I was prepared to have a 'skin purge' with this product and I DEFIANTLY had one. I kept pushing through, hoping this 'skin purge' was happening and my skin finally cleared up! I am now in my second month of being acne-free. I do occasionally get a small spot or two just before my period but it is nothing compared to how bad my skin was - I can now use this product daily with no irritation at all. I highly recommend this product with the face wash I mentioned above. For me, it worked wonders!

It’s a lightweight formula with a subtle scent that leaves my skin feeling brighter, hydrated and blemish free. It’s also helped to fade my dark spots. Deffo recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was hoping a better result I’m 56 and my skin has become very oily over the last 2 yrs causing me to break out in cyst like spots. I have used La Roche for years & years. I used the Clay mask with this moisturiser hoping to control the oil. Day 1 I thought there was some improvement. We’re on week 3 or 4 and there is no improvement. I’m as oily as ever & my spots are worse than before. I just need some help to turn off this oil tap on my face. The oil comes through my make up within an hour of applying. I wear mineral makeup as recommended by a skin clinic. Please help La Roche what can I do ????

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hormonal spots Bought this as I get hormonal breakout just before I have my period. I had read reviews and a lot of people said this one should be good. I but it on my face but I have to say after a few minutes my face started to feel hot and almost burning a bit. I woke up next morning definitely helped with the spots but my face was quiet red in some areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mature lady of 46 this works really well for my dark spots from sun damage & acne scaring but what I am most impressed with is it massively helps with hormonal breakouts! I am peri menopausal but still quite regular and ever since I started my periods in my early teens I have always suffered from hormonal breakouts, mostly on my chin & neck, sometimes on my back & cheeks. Other than hormonal breakouts I haven’t really had a problem with acne, I do get blackheads occasionally though. Anyway I was lucky to get sent a sample of this a while back and have since bought 2 more, it’s the only thing that has ever helped for my hormonal breakouts in over 30 years and I have tried a LOT of different products, I am quite obsessed with skincare and do try to look after my skin really well, unfortunately I wasn’t so clued up in my younger years & I now pay the price for wanting that golden tan all year round with dark spots & sun damage but this has also made quite a significant difference with those too. They’ve not gone completely but have definitely faded, to the point I no longer feel the need to always wear a full coverage foundation. I highly recommend this to anyone who suffers from hormonal breakouts ( or any other type of breakouts it’s just I can’t comment on it’s performance with other types of acne as I don’t suffer from it, but I would definitely give it a go if I did). I also highly recommend it to anyone who has post acne scars or dark spots, it’s been a game changer for me since adding to my skincare routine. I know sometimes people are sceptical about reviews when the person has received a free sample but I can honestly say I was under no obligation to write a review & it’s been a good few months since I received it, ( I like to give a product a full a fair chance before I review, not normally this long but with Christmas & family commitments I’ve not had chance, I know it’s a long review but it’s worth more than just a quick ‘it’s good’) As I mentioned I have since bought another 2 and will continue to buy it, this is my genuine review & experience, it may be different for others but I’d say try it out & give it a chance.
