Description

Braun TempleSwipe Temporal Thermometer BST200 is a thermometer for infants, children and adults that allows quick, gentle and easy temperature taking.

Safe and hygienic, it works by placing it towards the temporal artery, which is directly connected to the heart, providing constant blood flow and being placed close enough to the surface of the skin to provide an accurate temperature measurement.

Thanks to TempleSwipe technology, the sensor detects a multitude of infrared heat points and thus obtains a correct and precise temperature with each measurement.

Simply take the temperature and the screen will light up green, yellow or red to help you interpret the measurement.

The box contains:

  • 1 thermometer,
  • 1 protective cap,
  • 2 x 1.5V AAA LR03 alkaline batteries.

Guaranteed 2 years.

Directions for use
  1. Place the thermometer against the skin, just above the eyebrow.
  2. Press the temperature measurement button.
  3. While maintaining contact with the skin, glide gently along the temple towards the ear.
  4. Go up towards the eyebrow until you hear a long beep.

Indication: Temperature catching.

I feel that is a bit difficult to use or maybe I’m just being daft. It just seems like I have to do it multiple times to ensure accuracy. I think the no touch one from the same brand does a better job in making my life easier as a parent. I will try to give it another chance.

We have 2 kids under 8 years old and this thermometer have been a really life saver as it gives you the guidance if your child has temperature by showing you different colours.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good alternative to ear thermometer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to test this thermometer as I have 2 little boys who dislike the ear thermometer. When they are ill and need regular monitoring of a fever it has been hard to use an ear thermometer. Some times if they have had ear aches I couldn’t get it any where near them to test for a fever. The temple swipe is a non invasive way to test the child’s temperature fast. So this was ideal for my stubborn wiggly one year old. I could test his temperature easily while he slept and not disturb him. It is colour coded to let you know when child has a high or very high temp. Green normal amber high. Red very high. It took a bit of practise to get the swipe right. But in the occasions I used it in past few weeks. It was easy to use and read the temperatures. I think personally I will go back to ear thermometer once my boys are older and don’t mind it going in the ear. As I feel this is more accurate and less room for error. For now this is perfect for winter season.
