Prepare the wound in accordance with the wound management protocol.
Ensure the skin around the wound is dry.
Remove the shiny protective strip.
Place the primary non-adherent layer over the fingertip and apply gently to cover the damaged skin.
Unroll the lower ring of the tubular bandage over the primary strip (and secondary dressing if needed).
Then unroll the upper ring to form a double-layered protective tube.
