Beaphar Fiprotec 50mg Spot-on Solution Cats 6 Pipettes are pipettes with Fipronil recommended for the treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas and ticks for the cat.
- The treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) may be included in a treatment program for flea allergy dermatitis treatment, if previously diagnosed by the veterinarian. The duration of the protection against infestations by fleas is of 5 weeks.
- The treatment and prevention of infestations by ticks (Ixodes ricinus) allows to eliminate the ticks present on animal in the 48 hours. The treatment doesn't protect against the new infestations of ticks.
Read carefully the instructions before use.
Veterinary use. External only. 1 pipette of 0.5 ml per cat.
By topical application on the skin.
Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the content is in the main part of the pipette.
Cut the tip of the pipette with scissors. Part the hair between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and press gently to empty its contents onto the skin, preferably at two points, one at the base of the skull and a second 2-3 cm lower.
Special precautions must be taken to avoid excessive moistening of the hairs with the product, causing a sticky appearance of the hairs at the treatment site. However, if this occurs, this appearance will disappear within 24 hours of application.
In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks. For optimal control of flea infestation, the treatment regimen can be based on the local epidemiological situation.
The product should not be used in kittens less than 8 weeks old and/or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use in a sick or convalescent animal.
Do not use in rabbits. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients. Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals.
No special storage conditions. Keep the pipette in the blister and the box until use in order to protect it from light. Shelf life after first opening the immediate packaging: use immediately. Do not use this veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on the label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
The specialty may be toxic to aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate ponds, rivers and streams with product or empty containers.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
