Effik Natalben Pregnancy 30 Capsules is a dietary supplement formulated to meet the nutritional needs of pregnant women. Its complete formula supports the future mother throughout her pregnancy* and promotes the optimal development of the baby.
Its specially designed formula meets nutritional needs during pregnancy and contains the following nutrients:
- folic acid (also called vitamin B9 or folates) in the form of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (source: Quatrefolic®), a directly active and highly assimilable form for all women. Folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low folate status in the mother increases the risk of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. The beneficial effect is obtained in women of childbearing age by a daily consumption of 400 μg of folic acid, at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
- vitamin B12 contributing to the normal functioning of the nervous system and playing a role in the process of cell division. It also participates in folate metabolism.
- iodine contributing to the normal production of thyroid hormones and to normal thyroid function. Thyroid hormones play a key role in our body, particularly for the proper development and functioning of the nervous system.
- vitamin D contributing to the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus and to the maintenance of normal bones.
- DHA, maternal consumption of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contributes to the normal development of the fetus's eyes and brain. The beneficial effect is obtained by the daily consumption of 200 mg of DHA, in addition to the daily consumption of omega-3 fatty acids recommended for adults, i.e., 250 mg of DHA and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).
- lutein and zeaxanthin, which are carotenoids found in nerve cell membranes and brain areas. These brain areas are involved in memory, learning, and vision. Since the human body cannot produce them, your baby directly depends on your reserves.
