Directions for use
Before putting on the mask, perform hand hygiene with a hydroalcoholic solution or with soap and water.
Take a new mask and check that it is neither torn nor damaged. Identify the top part of the mask, usually recognizable by the nose bridge.
Position the mask with the outer side facing outwards and place the loops behind the ears. Unfold the mask so that it completely covers the nose, mouth, and chin.
Adjust the nose bridge by gently pinching it with your fingers so that it conforms to the shape of the nose. Check that the mask is properly positioned and that there are no large gaps between the face and the edges of the mask.
While wearing, avoid touching the mask. If it must be handled, perform hand hygiene before and after handling.
To remove the mask, do not touch its filtering part. Remove the loops from the ears and immediately discard the mask in an appropriate bin. Then perform hand hygiene.
Precautions for use
The mask is single-use and non-sterile. It must not be washed, disinfected, or reused.
Before use, check:
- the integrity of the mask;
- the integrity of the packaging;
- the expiration date;
- that the mask is suited to the morphology of the face.
The mask must completely cover the nose, mouth, and chin, without large gaps on the sides. Avoid touching the filtering part during use.
The mask must be replaced if it becomes damp, soiled, damaged, or difficult to breathe through. For this model, the recommended wearing duration indicated by the distributor is 4 hours maximum.
Hand hygiene must be performed before putting on and after removing the mask.
