- Infusion: To prepare your infusion, place the recommended amount of plant in a glass or porcelain container, cover with cold potable water, then pour 150 to 250 ml of boiling potable water over it.
Cover (especially with aromatic plants containing volatile active ingredients) and stir occasionally.
Let it steep for about 5 to 10 minutes, then filter gently.

- Decoction: Primarily used for stems, roots, or bark.
Place your plants directly into cold potable water.
Bring to a boil.
Boil for 15 to 20 minutes over low heat.
Let it steep for another ten minutes before filtering.

- Maceration: Some plants do not withstand high temperatures.
For these, it is best to let them macerate for 30 minutes to 4 hours in previously boiled potable water, then filter.
