Torm Gallium Thermometer is designed to measure body temperature.
It can be used orally, axillary or rectally, with a measurement time of around 4 minutes.
Its waterproof design makes it easy to clean and disinfect, for use both at home and in hospitals.
This model operates without batteries, thanks to the expansion of an alloy of gallium, indium and tin.
This thermometric liquid replaces mercury, while being non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
The thermometer and its hermetically sealed casing enable complete disinfection after each use.
Battery-free, mercury-free.
Before each use, clean the thermometer as described in "Cleaning and disinfection instructions".
Before measuring, the liquid column must always be below 36°C.
Position the thermometer according to the chosen measurement mode (axillary, rectal, buccal).
The thermometer displays the body temperature after a minimum measurement time, depending on the measurement mode selected.
When the measurement is complete, the thermometer displays the measured temperature on the scale.
The result can be read by tilting the thermometer slightly back and forth.
After each measurement, the liquid column must be brought back below 36°C. The easiest way to do this is immediately after the measurement.
To do this, carefully insert the thermometer into the supplied stirrer as far as it will go, ensuring that it is correctly positioned.
Then grasp the end of the stirrer and shake 15-20 times with a vigorous flick of the wrist, so that the liquid column falls below the indicated level.
