Bausch + Lomb ThermCool & Hot Dental 1 Gel Pack is a reusable thermal, gel-based pack for hot or cold use depending on your need:
It provides relief in case of toothaches, tooth extraction, discomfort related to orthodontic appliances, oral surgical procedures:
- Cold: Helps reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain.
- Hot: Helps reduce pain, soothes, and relaxes.
The gel pack can be kept in the freezer.
Contains 2 loose thermal packs (14 x 8,5 cm) and an adjustable size cover (velcro).
The cover can be used in the direction that best suits your need.
Medical device.
- Cold: Freezer:
1. Place the gel pack in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
2. Remove the gel pack from the freezer. Check that the temperature of the gel pack is comfortable, then apply the pack to the affected area, after putting it back in the supplied cover for greater convenience.
3. After use, ideally store the gel packs at room temperature. Storage can also be done in the freezer.
- Hot: Microwave: (500 W)
1. Ensure that both gel packs are at room temperature before heating.
2. Lay the two gel packs flat in the microwave. Heat at full power for 30 seconds (based on a 500W microwave).
3. Carefully remove the two gel packs from the microwave and check for the desired temperature for your comfort. The temperature will continue to rise slightly. If additional heat is desired, put the gel packs back in the microwave and heat them for an additional 5 seconds, without exceeding a total of 65 seconds. Monitor the gel packs during heating, as overheating can cause the gel packs to rupture, leak, or cause burns.
1. Knead the gel packs well to distribute the heat evenly.
2. If the temperature is acceptable, place the two gel packs in the cover and apply them to the affected area. If the gel packs are too hot, remove them and reapply when the temperature is acceptable.
3. If further heating is necessary, follow steps 1 to 5 again.
4. Store at room temperature for future hot therapy use.
5. Do not apply hot therapy for more than 20 consecutive minutes.
WARNING Use this product only according to the instructions. Monitor the gel pack during heating. If it begins to swell, turn off the microwave oven.
