Do not use if :
- You have an allergic reaction to rubber products.
- If the device or your finger is wet.
- On infants < 1 year.
- On fingers with anatomical changes, oedemas, scars or burns.
- On very thick fingers that cannot be inserted into the device without force (fingertip width approx. > 11 mm).
- On fingers of too narrow width and length (width approx. < 7 mm, length approx. < 30 mm).
- On patients who are agitated at the point of use (e.g. trembling).
- Finger injuries due to chemical or thermal burns, skin tanning, erosive arthrosis, sensory loss, gangrene.
- The mechanisms of these complications may be: pressure ischemia, prolonged use, probe overheating, probe misuse, short-circuit.
Possible measurement error on an altered finger. In this case, the SpO2 value is too low.
Low accuracy of SpO2 measurement.
In critically ill patients: Potential inherent error of 3 to 4% for measurements taken on this patient.
