Rated 2 out of 5 by from An interesting idea that falls short of expectations. I bought this expecting something that performed as well as the cleansing balm but this didn't fit the bill at all. It lacks both the makeup removal and the skin softening qualities of the balm. The texture is novel, but it leaves behind a waxy residue that needs to be removed with another face wash and so doesn't work as either the first or second step in a double cleanse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stings your eyes I bought 2 of these when you withdrew my cleansing lotion It is awful. Tiny little notice saying" avoid eyes" difficult when rinsing it off! It is so thick, you have to wet your face before using it When I thought it was empty, I cut the tube open , and a weeks supply still in the tube. I like a simple cleansing lotion in a bottle I have used Clinique for 20 years, and like everything else

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointing - don't waste your money I love the Take the Day Off range and was keen to try this product, but I really wish I hadn't wasted my money. It's just the rinse off foaming cleanser in a different bottle! I used a small amount, it foamed up well but took several rinses to clear it off my face and it left my skin feeling uncomfortably tight. It took a tonne of moisturiser to get rid of the tightness. If I could I'd send it back for a refund. Will be sticking to the balm in future.

It melts away makeup leaving my skin feeling clean and refreshed. Super gentle & doesn't irritate my sensitive skin - I feel like it's a spa-like experience in my own bathroom. The scent is slightly different from the Take The Day off Balm but still pleasant! I've been using with warm water & then splashing my face with cold water at the end - super refreshing!

It says to avoid eyes but I found no sensitivity and it destroyed my fibre mascara which most cleansers struggle with. I personally did find it a bit drying so deducted one star for that. I would say you will enjoy this if you have oily skin.
