Gibaud Soin Genou Kneecap Support is a device intended to relieve pain in the kneecap.
It is indicated in cases of patellar tendinopathy or instability of the patella, or for your daily activities (sport, work, leisure, ...). This patellar support has a central double pad designed to support the patella and closes with an adjustable strap.
It relieves pain in the kneecap and restores your sensations through proprioception (the ability to sense the position of your body in space). This patellar support is mixed, black in color.
To allow proper use and give it all its effectiveness, it is important to choose the right size (measure, with a tape measure, around your knee at the level of the patella, in a semi-flexed position):

A fitting is mandatory for a correct adaptation and a good understanding of the installation. The first installation will be carried out by a healthcare professional and subsequently by the user or a person close to him according to the same protocol.
Place the central double pad at the level of the patellar tendon and adjust the strap so as to obtain a firm but comfortable tightening.
Hand wash in warm soapy water (maximum 40 ° C), rinse thoroughly, wring gently.
The device should not be used if the injury requires partial or total immobilization or surgery. When adjusting the strap, adjust to obtain a firm but comfortable fit. Do not wear for prolonged periods without medical supervision. This orthosis should not be placed in direct contact with damaged skin. Device to be used on a single patient, not to be reused on several patients. If you have a problem, such as pain or local signs, remove the device and contact your healthcare professional.
